Aikido is a Japanese Martial Art based on the principles of circular motion and non-resistance against an opponent's force, so that anyone can use it with the least amount of physical force. Etiquette and discipline are required and observed during practice. Sweatpants and sweatshirts are acceptable for beginners.

Edward Kardell currently holds the rank of Yodan (4th degree Black Belt) in Aikido and a Fukushidoin Certificate (teaching certificate) from the United States Aikido Federation (USAF).  He began his Aikido journey in the early 80s in New Jersey under Rick Stickles Sensei.
