    The locker rooms are closed throughout the summer for renovation. Temporary shower trailers on the pool deck and day lockers are available.

The purpose of this course is to help participants identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in their environment, recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions for first aid care.  It teaches skills that participants need to know in order to provide immediate care of a suddenly ill or injured person until more advanced medical care arrives.

This class instructs students how to take basic disease transmission precautions, plus recognize and care for bleeding, wounds, and sudden illness. Students will also learn immobilization methods for muscle, bone and joint injuries. The class meets OSHA guidelines for First Aid. Upon completion, students will receive a 2-year First Aid Certification through the American Red Cross.
