UA-FIT Course

  • Update...Pool Closure Now May 1 (not 4/28)

    The pool (and deck) will now be closed Monday, May 1, 8a-4p, to install temporary shower trailers for the upcoming Locker Room Renovation.
  • Locker Rooms Close May 5; Lockers must be empty by May 4 COB

    To begin the renovation, the lockers in the Men's/Women's Locker Rooms must be cleaned out by end of day on May 4 (Thursday).

UA-FIT Course

The University of Arizona Fitness Integral Training (UA-FIT) is the outdoor jogging and strength-training fitness route across campus that allows students, faculty/staff and the local community to take advantage of Tucson's great year-round climate. The self-guided course consists of ten "top-of-the-line" exercise stations spaced throughout the campus.  Directional arrows guide users from one station to the next. The entire course loops around campus, starting and ending north of the Main Library.  UA-FIT stations are designed to resist temperature extremes, keeping the station benches cool to the touch.  Four of the stations are ADA-accessible.

Note:  UA-FIT replaced the old Par Course that was donated by the Perrier Company and built in 1979. Time, weather and campus construction projects reduced the original 18 Par Course stations to just seven. Construction of the new course was completed in 2007.
