Membership information

As a member of Campus Recreation, you will not only have access to one of the nation's top collegiate recreation facilities, but you will also be able to take advantage of numerous benefits including:

Memberships may be purchased by:

  • Current UA Faculty & Staff
  • Alumni
  • Retirees
  • Recognized University Affiliates - Individuals who work at agencies, institutions, hospitals, and clinics that have been afforded contractual affiliate status by the Office of the Provost and who directly contribute service to the academic or research mission of the University. 
  • "Household Members" of Any Current Member

Memberships may be purchased on a semester by semester basis, or annually. UA Employees are eligible to have membership fees automatically deducted from their paycheck via Payroll Deduction. All memberships may be purchased at the Recreation Services, Registration Office or Check In Desk in the lobby of the Student Recreation Center. Fees may be paid by cash, check, debit, Visa, American Express, MasterCard. Payroll Deduction is an option for annual memberships and student may pay for memberships or services via their Bursar Account.

** In anticipation of the upcoming locker room remodel, the Annual Plus membership price has been reduced due to the unavailability of lockers during the summer. Members with an annual locker will be contacted regarding clearing out contents from lockers prior to the start of construction. PAYROLL DEDUCTION

Permanent benefits eligible employees of the University of Arizona are eligible to utilize payroll deduction. The payroll deduction option for employees with less than .75 FTE may be discontinued at any time at the discretion of the Department of Campus Recreation. Payroll deduction memberships are ongoing, meaning that they do not expire. Employees opting to pay their membership via payroll deduction are required to continue the membership for at least one year. After the first year, the membership will continue until the member completes the required cancelation paperwork at the front desk of the Recreation Center. The payroll deduction rate is based upon the Annual Membership rate divided by the number of deduction-eligible paychecks the employee receives each year. The rate is subject to increase as the membership rate is increased.

Off Peak Memberships

The Off-peak Membership gives access to the Student Recreation Center during off peak hours from 6:00 am -2:00 pm Monday – Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. The Off-Peak membership also includes access to Smart Moves Studio. The Smart Moves Studio is a designated area located next to RecSpa near the front desk for Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students. The hours of Smart Moves available for the Off-Peak Membership is Monday-Friday 11:00 am-2:00 pm.

Semester Plus Pass

Semester PLUS Pass is now available for purchase. This membership add-on offering includes a semester locker and the unlimited Group Fitness Pass during the semester. This pass is on sale now at the Recreation Center for $79. ​

 

family memberships

Family members under 18 years of age may be sponsored for a semester membership. During the Fall and Spring semester, access is limited to Saturday and Sunday only. In the Summer, access is available all week, but the cost is slightly higher. Minors are not permitted in the weight room or on any cardio equipment, and must remain with a parent or guardian throughout their entire visit.
