Marketing Assistant - Videographer
Perform a variety of video duties to support the Department of Campus Recreation Marketing/Outreach program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: video recording at special events or on a per project basis at the Student Recreation Center, on the UA campus, and off-campus; video compilation; and video editing.
-Attend staff meetings and trainings
-Model department values and expectations
-Communicate via email and in person regarding logistics of event/projects
-Positive, engaging communication with the general public, specific to each event and/or project
-Work an array of special events including but not exclusive to: events on the Mall, at the Rec Center and other locations, as needed
-Transport of video equipment to event/project location
-Responsible for all video equipment checked out from CREC Marketing or on/off campus
-Special projects as assigned
The successful incumbent is required to have the following certifications and training:
-Valid CPR-PR/AED and First Aid Certification from an approved provider (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute) are required within 30 days of hire; Employees are required to obtain these certifications at their own expense. Campus Recreation offers a discount on certification classes for eligible employees. Other certifications may be considered. Check with your supervisor prior to making arrangements to obtain these certifications.
-All Department of Campus Recreation employees are required to complete blood borne pathogen training within 45 days of hire and renew on an annual basis.
-Complete New Employee training which includes but not limited to Emergency Action Plan, Nondiscrimination and Anti-harassment Policy training, All-Employee Security (Computer) Awareness, and Online Driver Registration & Golf Cart (if authorized).
-Previous experience with or knowledge of videotaping (cameras, sound, lighting) and video editing
-Experience working with video cameras, lighting, microphones, and video editing software (Adobe, etc.)
-Possess outstanding leadership, customer service, and communication skills
-Detail orientated – pays close attention to detail
-Time management – prioritizing and dependability are essential
-Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects/assignments at once (multi-task)
-Valid Driver’s License
-Must be enrolled at UA for a minimum of 6 credit hours (employment contingent on enrollment)
-Early morning, evening and weekend availability; flexible scheduling and break availability
