Ron Roberts joined Campus Recreation in 1997 with extensive experience in the finance, budgeting, HR, reporting, technology and administrative functions at the University of Arizona.  He is responsible for the business operations and activities of the department.

Ron arrived on campus in the fall of 1971 to study civil engineering and play basketball for the University.  He began his 44 year UA career in 1972 as a student employee for the Student Union before going full time in 1977 overseeing the Union's housekeeping department.  In 1983 he moved to Physical Resources to manage custodial services for the main campus and the College of Medicine.  In 1990 he went to Extended University to direct finance and administration.

Among Ron’s professional interests are helping Campus Rec’s staff work effectively in all aspects of University business operations, in particular guiding them in compliance, and facilitating their use of technology.  He especially enjoys discovering information in UAccess Analytics and mentoring others to become more confident and self-sufficient in their own use of the UAccess systems.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Arizona.  He enjoys quoting movie lines, relating anecdotes, history, technology, road trips with his wife, and spending time with their family, friends and his Rottweiler.
