Job Description

Perform a variety of financial duties to support the Finance Team. This position requires knowledge of financial functions relevant to UAccess and Campus Recreation internal systems. Accuracy and attention to detail is required. This position also requires knowledge of emergency action procedures. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing excellent customer service, assisting with addressing patron and/or employee issues and/or concerns as needed and responding to any situation that may arise. Special projects may also be assigned by the Business Manager. Detailed instructions are provided for difficult or unusual projects. The Financial Student Coordinator reports directly to the Accountant Associate. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Experience with RecTrac.

·         Pursuing a degree in Business or within Eller College of Management.

·         Year-round availability, including summer.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities *

·         Attend staff meetings and trainings, including but not limited to:

o   All Staff Kickoff Training (Fall and Spring Semester)

·         Model department values and expectations.

·         Knowledgeably explain all Campus Recreation policies and procedures.   

·         PCard reconciliation for all Campus Recreation PCards.

·         Prepare deposits and check/cash handling documents.

·         Prepare student bursars paid reconciliation.

·         PCI terminal check on a weekly basis.

·         Preform UAccess Financials transactions. 

·         Attend and participate in various committee meetings.

·         Assist patrons at the business office front desk and provide them with the requested information in a friendly positive attitude.

·         Perform clerical duties such as greeting visitors, opening and collecting mail, answering telephones, photocopying, faxing and filing. 

·         Answers telephone and inquiries while providing factual information pertaining to Campus Recreation. 

·         Serve as back-up to frond desk student employees as need.

·         Special projects as assigned.

·         Outstanding leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.

·         Ability to effectively communicate.

·         Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

·         Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.

·         Preserve confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.

·         Must be enrolled at UA for a minimum of 6 credit hours (employment is contingent on enrollment).

·         Early morning and afternoon availability; flexible scheduling and break availability.

Required Trainings/Certifications

The successful incumbent is required to have the following certifications and training:

 

·         All Department of Campus Recreation employees are required to complete blood borne pathogen training within 45 days of hire and renew on an annual basis.

·         Complete New Employee training which includes but not limited to Emergency Action Plan, Nondiscrimination and Anti-harassment Policy training, All-Employee Security (Computer) Awareness, Online Driver Registration & Golf Cart (if authorized), and Youth Safety Training within 45 days of hire.
