Outdoor Adventures Theme Community

The Outdoor Adventures Themed Community is designed for students who share a passion for human-powered outdoor recreation. In this interactive and fun-filled community, residents will participate in a variety of outdoor trips, and high ropes challenge programs. There will be numerous opportunities to explore the incredible wilderness areas of the American Southwest, both through trips provided by the University of Arizona Outdoor Recreation Program, and  on informal trips planned and run by residents of the community. Through these adventure activities, residents will develop leadership abilities, technical skills and close friendships with our peers. No experience is necessary; only a desire to participate, learn, and grow!

Canoeing and Climbing at Watson Lake

On the outskirts of Prescott, AZ is a crystal clear lake surrounded by granite domes – many rising directly out of the water. We will spend the weekend camping out at the lake and paddling our canoes to rock climbing destinations along the shore. This trip will be a great way to learn or improve paddling and climbing skills while escaping the heat of Southern Arizona. Exertion level: Moderate.
