Memorial Day Closure

All Campus Recreation facilities will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. We will resume summer operating hours on Tuesday, May 26.

North Rec Closure Notice

North Rec will be closed for routine cleaning from Monday, May 25 through Friday, May 29.

We appreciate your patience as we complete this work to keep our facility clean and safe. North Rec will reopen with summer hours on Saturday, May 30.

South Rec Notice: Men's Locker Room & West Side Cabanas Unavailable

The South Rec's Men’s Locker Room and West Side Cabanas are currently unavailable due to emergency plumbing repairs.

Access to currently rented lockers remains available in a limited capacity; however, access may be temporarily restricted during active repair work.

Individuals interested in relocating their lockers during this time may contact crec-membership@arizona.edu to schedule the process.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as repairs are completed.

Equipment Checkout

SouthREC (main) facility

Equipment Checkout (ECO) is located on the 1st floor of South Rec, just past the Front Desk.  ECO carries items for daily usage (rentals) and for sale.  All daily equipment must be returned to their respective areas by the close of business. Equipment can be borrowed with a CatCard. 

Campus Recreation staff and patrons are required to inspect ALL equipment before checking out AND when returned, before return is complete. Members will be held responsible for all damages done to the equipment when it is returned.  Any member who does not return an item correctly will be charged a $6 improper equipment return fee. This fee must be paid before a member may re-enter the facility.

Monday–Friday: 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Regular Hours

Monday–Thursday: 6 a.m. – midnight
Friday: 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. – midnight

Items Available for Daily Usage

  • Sport equipment (basketball, volleyball, wallyball, football, ping pong, racquetball, squash, soccer ball badminton, tennis, and pickleball)
  • Outdoor equipment (climbing shoes and outdoor crashpads)
  • Other (day-use locks and billiard cues)
  • Towels (sweat and shower)
