Group Fitness & F45

A working professional fitness pass allows for participation in classes Monday through Friday between 6 am - 2 pm, and all classes Saturday, & Sunday. This pass option is to benefit those that work full time and are interested in coming to the Recreation Center during non-peak hours.

With a semester pass, you will have access to all classes on the schedule which are located on our Group Fitness or F45 pages. These classes are held at a variety of locations including SouthREC and NorthREC. You can participate in these classes even if you have a membership at a specific facility.

At the beginning of each semester, check the website for the "FREE WEEK" schedule. This is an opportunity to try out our classes for the semester before deciding if Group Fitness is a good fit for you. You can also buy a One Class Pass at any time during the semester if you wish to drop into one class. You can purchase a one class pass at the front desk on your way into the facility. The receipt is then used as your ticket to the class. Please arrive ten minutes early at least to get checked into the class on time.

The doors will close at the start time of class and there is no late entry for your own safety and to avoid disruption of the class flow. It is vital to your health and safety to be involved in the warm-up of a class which will take place between the first 3-5 minutes. We want to be sure that your muscles are properly warmed up and ready to move to avoid any injuries. The instructor arrives early to help participants get set up to start the class on-time so please arrive 5-10 minutes early for class to be prepared and ready to go!

Group Fitness passes can be purchased online or at the front desk. Be sure that once you add your pass option to your online shopping cart, you remember to check out at the bottom of the screen. Your pass will then be active using your CatCard or your registered finger vein through the front desk. If you do not wish to register your finger vein and do not have a CatCard, you can simply bring a photo ID with you to class for a name lookup.

Personal Training

Two options are available to you to register. Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to see the different package options listed. Select the package of choice and add this to your cart. Remember that you will still need to finalize your order after adding this to your cart. You can also go to the front desk in the Recreation Center and purchase sessions at the counter.

Yes! In order to purchase a package and not have a membership to the Recreation Center, you will need to pay the non-member price. This will include your day pass into the facility to train. Your Trainer will meet you at the front desk entrance so that there is not an issue to access the facility for Training purposes.

If you are a student, you have the option to Bursar your training package and pay as you go. Bursars requires that the payment is done in full by the end of the semester to avoid a hold on your student account. If you are faculty/staff, you have the option to do payroll deduct. Ask our friendly staff at the front desk to enroll you in payroll deduct options (3 month, 6 month, 9 month).

If you have registered for Personal Training sessions but have not yet heard from the Fitness Department, this means you have an outstanding health history form in your e-mail inbox. Upon registering, you will be sent an automatic email with a PDF health history form to fill out. This is vital to your training - this provides us information about when you are available, what your goals are, and if medical clearance is necessary prior to training. If you deleted this email on accident, reach out to us at Crec-FitWell@email.arizona.edu for a new copy!

Yes, you may request a specific Personal Trainer, however, we cannot guarantee an exact match based on availability. The staff will do their best to pair trainers and clients appropriately based on goals, availability, and client preference.

A client may choose to "upgrade" their personal training package at any point to using 50% of the sessions purchased. At this point, the client will pay the difference between the original and upgraded package. After using 50% of the sessions purchased, a client must complete the initial package prior to purchasing additional sessions.

All packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. Clients will not be reimbursed for unused sessions. Sessions will expire 12 months after purchase date.

If a Trainer is not notified at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule a session, the session will count against the client's package.

Wellness 2 U

We ask for 2 weeks advance notification, at least. This gives us time to find the right Instructor or Trainer for your group, reserve space if necessary, and also organize transportation of any equipment or A/V needs to your location.

We will create an invoice for your department or organization. This invoice can be paid for at the front desk using check, cash, or card, or can be paid through internal billing if that is an option for you.

This answer varies based on location. If you want to hold the class at the Recreation Center, you are limitless in terms of options whereas if you wanted to host the class in your location, we could not bring our Cycle Bikes over to you, for instance. The best classes to do off-site include Zumba, Bootcamp, HIIT, Core, Yoga, and other bodyweight formatted classes. We are also happy to offer seminars on the "8 Dimensions of Wellness" or other Wellness workshops which is ideal for faculty/staff. Invite us to your next staff meeting!
