About the Joe Rubin Scholarship

An endowment established by the family and friends of the late Joe Rubin, who played intramural sports with enthusiasm and was a fourth-year business major at the time of his passing. Per the intent of family and friends, the Joe Rubin Memorial Scholarship will recognize students, like Joe, who loved intramural sports, played with enthusiasm and helped make intramural sports an enjoyable experience for all. The Joe Rubin Memorial Scholarship continues to open doors for University of Arizona students who actively engage and participate in intramural sports.

This scholarship helps emphasize the importance of being both physically and mentally engaged—both of which are deemed to be vital components to achieve the highest levels of academic and personal success at a collegiate level.

To be considered for this year's award, please complete the information in the application below. Applications are open from the second Monday of the Season D regular season in the spring semester and will close on the fourth Monday of Season D (exactly two weeks from the opening date).

The quick turnaround is to ensure Season D participation is factored into the award decision, along with giving enough time for the scholarship funds to transfer prior to the end of the semester/academic year.
