Gentle Yoga

Intermediate Advanced

This slow-flow yoga practice will give you the chance to master the foundations of yoga. With a heavy focus on thoughtful movements and alignment cues, this class is welcoming both to new yogis, looking to begin a practice, as well as seasoned yogis, looking for additional alignment focus. Everyone is welcome!

With a slower pace, less intense positions and an emphasis on breathing, this makes for a low-impact, gentle class. It will stretch and strengthen your body, clear your mind and set the tone of mindfulness for the rest of your day.

Mat Pilates®

Mat Pilates® focuses on concentration, centering, control, breath, precision, and flow through a series of movements and exercises that advances your core strength. It specifically aims to strengthen your lower back, pelvic floor, hips, glutes, and abdominals through a variety of exercises. This low-impact class is a great way to reduce stress and get some movement.

Pilates® is a mind, body and spirit practice with benefits that include improved posture, better coordination and balance, increased lung capacity, improved concentration and focus, increased body awareness, stress management and injury prevention.

Power Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. The Vinyasa practice becomes a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom and fluidity in the body and mind.

The continual movements from one pose to another gives you an added cardiovascular and stability benefits. The focus on breathing while flowing through the poses boosts respiratory health, calms the mind and increases both focus and concentration.

One of the focuses is breathwork techniques which aims to give you the control to stabilize your body, eliminate stress and nourish you with a positive attitude to fully prepare for the challenges of the day ahead.

Sunrise Yoga

In the yogic discipline, the morning is considered “divine time," when an individual’s energy is at its peak. Sunrise yoga will help you feel awake and energized to take on the rest of your day, as well as giving you the chance to stretch your body with mindful postures and steady breathing.

Yoga for Recovery

Intermediate Advanced

Yoga for Recovery is an all-levels, trauma-informed yoga class for those in recovery for mental health, trauma or addiction.  Participants are led through gentle movement and breath sequences to build skills for living a fulfilling life off the mat. This class is a complimentary practice to other mental health supports or addiction recovery programs. Friends and allies welcome!

Yoga for Recovery is taught by Melissa Keller, LCSW, RYT, CAPS, mental health clinician and Wildcats Anonymous co-advisor. Melissa’s class helps to reduce stress and anxiety, control addictions and cravings, increase self-awareness and help with emotional healing.
