Congratulations to Avril, our Student Employee of the Month!
Avril is a junior majoring in Mild to Moderate Disabilities (Special Education) and plans to graduate in Spring 2027. She serves as the HR Student Coordinator at Campus Recreation, where she supports onboarding processes, completes background checks, organizes files, and helps new student employees get started in their roles.
With prior experience in Human Resources, Avril was excited to find an on-campus position that aligned with her skills while offering the convenience of working close to her classes.
Her favorite part of working at Campus Rec is the welcoming community - from fellow students to professional staff - who make each day enjoyable and supportive.
Outside of work, Avril enjoys baking, spending time with friends, traveling to Phoenix, and playing video games.
In the future, Avril plans to become a Special Education teacher, where she hopes to create a supportive classroom environment and build meaningful relationships with her students. She is passionate about making a difference and providing the guidance and care her future students deserve.
Thank you, Avril, for your dedication, positivity, and the impact you make at Campus Rec!
