Congratulations to Ryleigh, our Student Employee of the Month, sponsored by NOCCO.
Ryleigh is a senior majoring in Leadership & Learning Innovations, graduating this spring. She is an integral part of Outdoor Recreation, serving as a Trip Guide and working in the rental center, as well as leading initiatives like the Women in Send Workshop and WILO Conference.
Ryleigh’s passion for the outdoors began in the Outdoor Adventure Living & Learning Community, where she built strong connections and discovered her love for rock climbing. That experience inspired her to join Outdoor Rec, where she now helps others step outside their comfort zones and experience the outdoors in meaningful ways.
Her favorite part of working at Campus Rec is the opportunity to lead trips, build community, and empower students - many of her closest friendships have come from Outdoor Rec.
Outside of work, Ryleigh enjoys rock climbing, competing in intramural volleyball and softball, and working as a river guide during the summer.
In the future, she hopes to create an outdoor program for women, focused on leadership, confidence, and building community - showing that women are just as capable, if not more, in outdoor spaces.
Thank you, Ryleigh, for your leadership, passion, and the impact you make in our Campus Rec community!
