Leave No Trace Training
Leave No Trace (LNT) trainer course is an environmental ethics course perfect for any outdoor professional or recreator. Through this course, you will be taught to teach all 7 LNT principles focused on minimizing human impact in natural spaces. This course will be a combination of classroom and outdoor instruction time, featuring a one night backpacking trip on Mount Lemmon or a one night camping and climbing trip at Cochise Stronghold. This course also offers 1-day LNT workshop as a hike and stand-up paddle board yoga. This course will specifically focus on LNT Principles and how they relate to the Southwest environment and ecosystems. This course includes: all LNT instruction and materials, as well as all gear, transportation, and food associated with the overnight Backpacking or camping portion of the course. This program will begin at the University of Arizona Outdoor Recreation center on 7th street.
This course is provided deeply subsidized to UArizona students thanks to a mini-grant from the Campus Sustainability Fund.
