Reopening Guidelines for Aquatics:

The pool, when open, will be (weekdays 6a-6p, weekends 8a-4p) for lap swimming by reservation only.  To reserve a lane in advance, visit IMLeagues.com (see instructions for how to reserve a lane).  Lanes can be reserved for thirty-minute blocks up to 1 hour.  Reservations can be made 24 hours in advance.

During Phase 1 of the re-opening, the following restrictions will be in effect:

  • Pool hours are limited
  • Minors are not permitted in the pool or pool area
  • There will be no group swimming; only one person per lane, even for families
  • The pool deck is closed to lounging and sunbathing
  • Pool equipment will not be available for public use; please bring your own personal swim equipment
  • "Day Use" lockers on the pool deck are limited to swimmers during their reservation time
  • Towel service is unavailable; please bring your own towel

WHAT IS AQUATICS?

With an extraordinary Olympic-sized pool, the Aquatics program at Campus Rec strives to meet the needs of students, faculty/staff and the surrounding community. Through a variety of classes, programs, and services, Aquatics focuses on fitness, health and safety, competition, and leisure.

Register for an Aquatics Program

The pool is typically set up in short course (25-yard lanes running North-South) with lanes ranging from 5-10ft deep.  During certain hours over summer break, the pool is set up in long course (50-meter lanes running East-West) with all lanes including depths of 4-10ft deep.

Pool entry and exit are accessible at several points around the pool deck. The pool also offers a Portable Aquatic Lift which can be used at 4 access points throughout the pool (Shallow-end, Lane 13, Lane 5 and Lane 1).  The pool is designed with a zero-depth gutter surrounding the entire perimeter.  The pool also has 5 built-in vertical ladders spaced throughout the lap lane area and the shallow end as well, as a set of built-in stairs with handrails in the shallow end.
