What To Expect:

This Intro to Climb trip at Ridgeline Crag is designed for beginners and focuses on learning the basics of outdoor rock climbing in a supportive setting. Participants will hike a short distance to the crag, learn fundamental climbing techniques, climbing knots, how to belay, and practice climbing and belaying on top-rope routes with guidance from trip leaders.

The rock is granite, and the area features scenic forested surroundings and cooler mountain temperatures. No prior climbing experience is required. Closed-toe shoes are required, and participants should come prepared with a packed lunch, water, snacks, and layers for changing weather. Helmets and climbing gear will be provided. Cell service is limited, and participants should be ready for a fun, active day outside.
