Hybrid Wilderness First Responder Recertification (WRC)
This Hybrid format WRC certified through Desert Mountain Medicine (DMM), is a comprehensive and flexible approach that offers 8 hours of self-paced, online instructions through CANVAS. This is followed by two consecutive days of in-classroom refresher, providing a perfect balance of convenience and practical learning for a current WFR looking to recertify. The course is enriched with new research in wilderness medicine based on the Wilderness Medical Society Clinical Practice Guidelines and updated industry-standard guidelines set forth by the Wilderness Education Medicine Collaborative (WMEC). Course participants will review foundational knowledge and apply newly learned skills and guidelines via hands-on scenarios and simulations, ensuring a thorough understanding and practical application of the course material.
