What To Expect:

Join Outdoor Recreation for an unforgettable multi-day canoe adventure through the spectacular Black Canyon of the Colorado River. Over four days and three nights, you'll paddle through a remote desert landscape surrounded by towering canyon walls, natural hot springs, hidden side canyons, and incredible views found only along this unique stretch of river below Hoover Dam.

This trip is designed for both beginner and experienced paddlers. Outdoor Recreation staff will provide instruction on canoeing techniques, river travel, camping skills, and Leave No Trace principles throughout the weekend. Each day will include several hours of paddling at a comfortable pace, with opportunities to stop and explore scenic highlights along the river. Participants can expect to help load gear, paddle as part of a team, set up camp, prepare meals, and contribute to the overall group experience.

Evenings will be spent camping along the river at designated backcountry campsites, where you'll have the chance to relax, enjoy beautiful sunsets, stargaze, and connect with fellow adventurers. Be prepared for warm desert temperatures, time in the sun, and moderate physical activity throughout the trip. While no previous canoeing experience is required, participants should be comfortable being active outdoors for multiple days and working collaboratively in a group setting.

This expedition is a great opportunity to disconnect from daily life, develop outdoor skills, and experience one of the Southwest's most scenic river corridors from a unique perspective.

The trip price includes: transportation, all camping gear, all paddling gear, trained guides, dinner on Thursday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday and Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
