What To Expect:
Take a break from campus and enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by the beauty of the desert at the Botanical Gardens. This micro-adventure is perfect for students looking to slow down, explore nature, and experience one of Tucson's hidden gems in a relaxed setting.
During our visit, we'll stroll through a variety of gardens and exhibits featuring native desert plants, colorful flowers, and unique landscapes. You'll have the opportunity to learn about the Sonoran Desert ecosystem and appreciate the sights, sounds, and scents of the gardens. Outdoor Recreation staff will facilitate the experience, but there will also be plenty of time to explore at your own pace, take photos, and connect with fellow students.
Expect light walking on well-maintained paths and a leisurely pace. This beginner-friendly micro-adventure requires no prior experience and is a great option for anyone looking to spend time outdoors without a strenuous activity. Bring comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and your curiosity as we enjoy a relaxing afternoon immersed in the beauty of nature.
